Bushnell Pro 1600 Slope

Cumulative Review Score: 100(21)

Bushnell Pro 1600 Slope(Update: The Bushnell Pro 1600 series has been replaced by the Bushnell Pro 1M series.) There weren't a ton of reviews for the Bushnell Pro 1600 Slope rangefinder; the good news is the user reviews available were overwhelmingly positive.  As with all Bushnell golf rangefinders, owners of this unit liked the Pinseeker technology for aiding in reading the flag.  Users also raved about the slope feature on this unit. Other positives mentioned throughout the reviews were its clear optics, 7x magnification, ability to use while wearing glasses, and the fact that it uses a standard nine volt battery.  Negative remarks of the Bushnell 1600 Slope Edition included: its price, some trouble with the battery cap door, and not being able to use the unit in tournament play. It is worthy of noting that they users that had these complaints all still gave the unit a perfect score.

Owner's Manual:
The Pro 1600 Slope is basically the Bushnell Pro 1600 Tournament with the Slope feature added on, this of course means it can not be used for tournament play.  The slope feature of this unit gives the user a "Play As" distance based on the angle of the shot. This unit also has the Pinseeker technology, 7x magnification, and is a horizontally designed rangefinder; which allows both hands to be placed on the unit for a firm hold.  While its horizontal design and 12 oz weight help steady the 7x magnification, it also makes it to large to carry on your person, so be willing to make some room in your bag or cart for this one.

Notes:
The Bushnell Pro 1600 Slope is highly praised by its owners. The Pro 1600 Slope rangefinder is not for those who want to wear it on their belt or stick it in their pocket.  However, this unit makes good use of its larger size and weight. While its horizontal design makes it larger that its vertically made competitors, this allows the user to hold the unit with both hands like a pair of binoculars, which is generally a more solid stance. This solid stance allows the unit to feature a 7x magnification, which makes spotting your ball on the fairway or ranging the flag at longer distances easier.  The Bushnell Pro 1600 larger size also enables it to use a larger, but extremely common, 9 volt battery for its power source. The Pro 1600 Slope is best probably best suited for the serious amateur looking to sharpen his or her skills.
