Bushnell Elite 1500

Cumulative Review Score: 91(40)

Bushnell Elite 1500The first thing that became apparent while reading user reviews was that the Bushnell Elite 1500 model is available with the Bushnell ARC feature and without it, and it is hard to decipher which is which.  Please read the Owner's Manual Highlights below.  With that out of the way the next thing that was commented on with great frequency among the reviewers was the good quality of the optics which impressed numerous reviewers.  The most commonly reported complaint was that the Elite 1500 was a bit bulky.

Owner's Manual Highlights:
Bushnell's website lists the Elite 1500 (model 205100) which is the black version as having the ARC feature on its specification chart; however it does not list it as a feature in the written description nor does it have the ARC logo. To add to the confusion the downloadable pdf owner's manual lists the download as "Elite 1500 ARC 205100" however, when you open the download, the owner's manual has no indication that this model has the ARC feature.  The camo version of the Bushnell Elite 1500 rangefinder (205101) is not listed on the Bushnell website; however the owner's manual is available for download.  It is listed as "Elite 1500 ARC 205101" and the owner's manual clearly shows this model as having the ARC feature.  To see for yourself here is the link to the Bushnell website.  So with the information available it appears that the Bushnell Elite 1500 (205100) black version does not have the ARC feature while the Bushnell Elite 1500 (205101) camo version does have the ARC feature. If Bushnell starts making the black version with the ARC feature as they have done with other models like the Scout, they should give the model a new number to differentiate between the two.  The Elite 1500 is also longest ranging Bushnell laser range finder, with a maximum distance of 1600 yards under ideal conditions on a highly reflective target.

LRR Thoughts:
The Bushnell 1500 Rangefinder is probably most at home on a shooter's bench at a prairie dog town where its good optics and long distance ranging ability can really shine and its bulkiness doesn't come into play.  While the Bushnell Elite 1500 camo model is avaialable with the ARC technology, which does have a bow mode, its size and 7x magnification make it less than ideal for most archery hunting.  Overall, the Bushnell 1500 is a solid unit that received pretty respectable ratings from the majority of its owners. The Elite 1500 is one of the most affordable units in the shooting rangefinder category that in competes in, click below to see how it managed against the other competitors.
