Bushnell Legend 1200 ARC - Review | Specifications | Comparison
Cumulative Review Score: 90(22)
Reviews of this rangefinder were a little hard to come by with only 22 useful reviews being found for this model; however, the purchasers of the Bushnell Legend 1200 ARC rangefinder either loved it or hated it with virtually no middle ground. There were a couple users that returned this unit for being defective, both for different reasons. They both understandably rated this model poorly. The other reviewers that purchased the Bushnell Legend rangefinder were generally pleased with this rangefinder's performance. The most common praise for this unit was its long distance ranging ability, followed closely by positive remarks about the ARC technology. Other positives mentioned were: clear optics, ease of use, and good eye relief. However, with limited reviews to go on it is hard to see what features really stood out above the rest. Owner's Manual Highlights:
The Bushnell Legend 1200 ARC has the following target modes, Standard with scan available, Brush, and Bullseye for small targets. It also has the following distance modes: Regular, Bow, and Rifle. This is pretty much the same setup as the Scout 1000 ARC; however, the Legend 1200 ARC has a VSI feature that is available in Rifle mode. VSI stands for variable sight in which allows the operator to use one of four predetermined sight in ranges to be used in Rifle mode. Finally, while it doesn't quite have the ranging ability of the Bushnell Elite 1600, it is a much more compact design, and it held vertically instead of horizontally.
LRR Thoughts:
The Legend 1200 ARC would make a stronger candidate for an all purpose rangefinder that the Bushnell Scout 1000 ARC, because of its 6x magnification and the VSI Rifle mode feature. Allow not a really high Cumulative Review score it is importanat to remember that this score was caused mainly by the above mentioned defective units and a realatively small sample size, and the people who didn't have defective units were quite pleased. Without the two defective untis this rangefinder would have scored in the mid 90's; and all rangefinder models have some defective units, its just hard to tell at this point if the Bushnell Legend 1200 ARC has a higher defective rate than normal or if it was just unlucky having two in this small sample.
